About Amber Weeden
I became an acupuncturist because my own healing journey showed me what was possible when the nervous system and subconscious mind are truly addressed. After developing complex PTSD following a high-stress event while working on Wall Street, I lived for years with anxiety and depression and relied on multiple antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications that never fully resolved the underlying patterns.
Acupuncture helped me regulate my nervous system, restore balance, and, with proper medical support, eventually transition off medications—an experience that inspired me to devote my life to this medicine. That calling led me to complete a four-year master’s degree, prepare for board certification, and continue my doctoral studies at the Pacific College NYC campus.
Alongside my formal acupuncture training, I discovered ThetaHealing®, a modality that focuses on transforming subconscious beliefs that shape emotional, behavioral, and physiological responses. ThetaHealing works by guiding the brain into a theta brainwave state—commonly associated with deep meditation and early sleep—where subconscious beliefs are more accessible and adaptable. In this state, deeply rooted patterns connected to trauma, stress, and self-perception can be identified and reframed, supporting long-term change rather than surface-level coping.
I have completed 23 ThetaHealing® certifications while completing my master’s degree. I learned how to integrate this work with my acupuncture clinical training. Together, acupuncture and ThetaHealing® allow me to address both the physiological regulation of the nervous system and the subconscious beliefs that influence how we experience our lives.
